Abstract: Glycyrrhizic acid (GA), a triterpenoid saponin glycoside from the roots and rhizomes of licorice is used in traditional and modern medicine for the treatment of numerous medical conditions including skin diseases and beauty care product. In the present study, we investigated the effect of GA against ultraviolet B (UVB) irradiation-induced photoaging in human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) and its possible mechanism of action. AbstractWe have investigated the expression and role of galectin‐1 and other galectins in psoriasis and in the Th1/Th17 effector and dendritic cell responses associated with this chronic inflammatory skin condition. To determine differences between psoriasis patients and healthy donors, expression of galectins was analysed by RT‐PCR in skin samples and on epidermal and peripheral blood dendritic cells by immunofluorescence and flow cytometry.
The aqueous extracts of Citrus unshiu peel containing flavonoid glycosides was used as co‐substrate with Schizophyllum commune mycelia producing β‐glucosidase and its biological activities were studied. β‐glucosidase‐produced S. commune mycelia converted the glycosides (narirutin and hesperidin) into aglycones (naringenin and hesperetin)

S1PR1, R3 and – to a lesser extent – R2 were the main receptors expressed in most of endothelial cells (ECs). The balances in the expression and activation of S1PR1, R2 and R3 help to maintain the physiological functions of ECs.
