TDF and TDF-P1, a 20-amino acid peptide selected from the open reading frame of TDF, induce differentiation in human breast and prostate cancer cells but not in other cells. TDF protein has no identified site of action or receptor, and its mechanism of action is unknown.
NHS PIP breast implants to be removed for free
6, Jan 2012There is not enough evidence to recommend the routine removal of PIP breast implants, a government expert committee has concluded. However, the committee said the NHS would remove and replace the implants without charge if patients it had operated on remained concerned.
